We are looking for a Human Resource Assistant to join our team in our Huntington, NY office. The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for supporting the Client Service team with core HR function work, including but not limited to payroll, benefits, leave of absence, and administration of client-level policies.

Familiarity with Prism HRIS software is beneficial. Experience or education in human resources is preferred, although entry-level candidates with a keen interest in the field may also be considered.
  5. Take initiative and possess problem-solving skills: The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to analyze situations, think critically, and offer innovative solutions to HR-related issues.
  6. Be organized and possess multitasking skills: The HR assistant will likely encounter various responsibilities simultaneously, such as client onboarding, employee benefits administration, payroll, and leave administration. The ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively is essential.
  7. Able to adapt and be flexible: The ideal candidate should be adaptable to dynamic work environments and be comfortable with taking on new responsibilities as the need arises. They should also have the flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Requirements
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources
  • Strong ability to multitask
  • Superb conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to display integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
  • Strong knowledge of laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient in HRIS and talent management systems
